Stephanie Kaye (Nicole Stoffman)

Stephanie Kaye was a tacky dresser, and was not a true friend to Voula. She was a manipulative immature person who would hurt anybody to get ahead. When she transformed her normal clothes into her sexy, "woman of the night" (as Alexa said) clothing, she transformed into this self-absorbed, selfish, egocentric fool. We see her in the second season giving away her clothes to Alexa, because she wants to start over, and have a new image, due to her bweing school president and an eighth grader.

Once Simon Dexter walks in the door to the class, she then wants to be his new girlfriend. Alexa seems to get all of his attention, and Stephanie only thinks that Simon likes her because of her clothes. She asks for her clothes back, but Alexa refuses. The next couple of episodes shows Stephanie's fight for Simon's attention, while ignoring her responsibilities as school president. Alexa ends up giving back her clothes, because her mother forbids her to wear them. She starts to dress in her old clothes again, looking like a child prostitute, trying to attract Simon's attention. Simon ends up liking Alexa for herself, and not her clothes, so Stephanie gives up on pursuing him.

Stephanie looked more natural, and nicer in her normal "home" clothes. She looked like an honest person who was not up to her old tricks. she was immature by trying to get Simon to go out with her and not Alexa, and by trying to get Wheels jealous by flirting with Joey. Whatever she did or said, was because of her "new image". This new image really hurt her friendships, and her relationship with her brother, Arthur, and her parents.

When Stephanie became depressed about her parents divorce, we see how she caused more strain on her parents because she purposedly acted like an immature child. She tried to cause problems with her mother and Jerry, and with her brother.

Stephanie Kaye was a not nice character, but a selfish character who only thought of herself, and not anyone's else feelings. Since the series premiere of Degrassi Junior High, one can see that she used Voula and her brother for speech writing, and used kisses to gain more votes.
