Susie Rivera (Sarah Charlesworth)

Sarah Charlesworth played Susie Rivera for the first 2 seasons of Degrassi Junior High. She, along with her brother Christopher, played in both Degrassi Junior High and The Kids of Degrassi Street.

The Susie/Caitlin friendship seems to continue from the Casey/Lisa friendship on the The Kids of Degrassi Street. The only difference is that they are older and they play different characters.

Susie is very close to Caitlin, and through the 2 years they were friends at Degrassi, we can see her devotion to Caitlin.  She is a bit uptight, determined, hardworking student, who we find out is homophobic in "Rumour has It", and she can be distrustful to Lucy in "He's Back". She is very naive as when Mr. Colby is very nice to her, she does not want to report him, but when Lucy warns her that in a few years, he could be abusing her sister, Nora Jean, she smarts up.
